At the April 12, 2017 annual meeting, Shawn Doorhy and Wendy Klein were re-elected to new two year terms to the Board of Directors and Anthony Seisser was newly elected to a two year term.  Robert Lechelt did not run for re-election.  The Board would like to thank Robert for his service to the community.

As with all previous years, the HOA will again begin monitoring vacant lots for mowing as of May 1, 2017.  Any lot with weeds or grass in excess of 15″ after May 1 will be mowed by the HOA at a cost of $250 per mowing without further notice.  If you would like to contract directly with the HOA’s contractor for mowing, please contact Bay Property Services.  A notice has been mailed to each vacant lot owner, and a copy can be found here:  2017 Vacant Lot Weed Notice

With spring here, many residents will be planning projects which require ARC approval.  Please be aware that ARC approval may take as long as 30 days during peak review periods, so plan ahead for your approval. Last minute approval requests cannot be granted.  For more information, please see the ARC Approvals page on this site.

At the November 16 board meeting, the Board of Directors approved the 2017 budget which maintains the assessments at the same amount as in previous years, $300.00 per year.  A copy can be downloaded from the link below.  Invoices for 2017 Have been mailed out and are due by January 31, 2017.  If you did not receive your invoice for any reason, please contact Bay Property Services.  Any assessment which is not paid by that date will be assessed a late fee of $25.00 per month after that date.  Please make all assessment payment checks payable to the Lake Forrest HOA.

The Village of Shorewood would like to remind all residents about the importance of installing mailboxes properly.  The Village is not responsible for any damaged caused by snow plows if the mailbox has been found to be installed improperly.  Following is the correspondence from the Village on how to locate the mailbox correctly and their policy on mailbox damage and replacement.  If you have any questions regarding this, please direct them to the Village of Shorewood.

Owners are welcome to address the board during the open discussion portion of any meeting.  Please note that in some cases, 5 days notice prior to the meeting may be required for owners to have a specific issue placed on the agenda in order to allow the board to have the proper documentation for a decision.  Please contact Bay Property Services with any questions.

The dates for the remaining 2017 HOA meetings are: July 12 and October 25 (budget approval).  All meetings are at 7:00 pm at the Shorewood Village Hall.
